“Let’s face it, Celestial Church of Christ is 70+ and we all have a pretty good understanding of communication and unity.”
Online communication in a second means outside the church from my own experiences, it involves using chats, forums, and other online tools” -Ola Ibukun Samuel (MeetCCC Developer).
There is something deeply incarnational about the digital age. At the beginning of Hebrews, the author tells us: In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. You could almost paraphrase that as: In the past God spoke to our ancestors through papyrus and paper in many different and various ways, but in these last days, his Word is shown through the digital realm.
God is all about communication. John’s Gospel opens with the Word being present with God and communicating with God. Immediately, that Word is associated with light and life and creativity, the very hallmarks of the digital age, and is transmitted to the world, enfleshed amongst us and we have seen his glory.
