Christ, and not the church, is the way to Salvation

This is an issue i feel needs to be addressed as much as we can. I’m cutting across every denomination but i’m going too be particular about our very own CCC. I want to us to remember what Jesus said in John 14:6(KJV),”I am the way, the truth and the life:no one cometh unto the father, but by me”. This implies that Jesus Christ is the only intermediary between man and God. Any other self-made intermediary is null and void. What then would i say has made Christians neglect the main and only factor for salvation, Jesus Christ? Hosea 4:6(KJV) “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. That is what is preventing us from knowing the truth and also making us hold unto that which does not lead to salvation – Lack of Knowledge. Many no longer serve Christ. Instead they reference their shepherds, prophets, some even reference their fellow members. (I’m not throwing shades at shepherds /prophets. I’m just emphasizing on the fact that they are just to guide our way to salvation in cases of backsliding or derailing, not to serve as intermediaries between us and God that we have to place all our trusts in them. Remember Psalm 146:3(GNB) “Don’t put your trust in human leaders; no human being can save you” Whenever we are faced with any problem, we tend to turn to them for solutions whereas we have a better and effective solution as stated in James 5:13(NIV) “Is anyone among you troubled? Let them pray”. That is why people will leave church whenever there is a misunderstanding claiming “That a prophet/shepherd isn’t strong enough”. All we know now is spiritual work. We have totally forgotten the One who gives the grace for all this ishe to work in your favour. We now idolize prophets/shepherds to the point that even when they tell us something against the doctrines of Christ and celestial,we tend to believe without hesitation. What happened to the creed we recite every service day? Is it not meant to be a proof of our faith? We have turned it to a normal recitation, without minding the reason why it’s been given to us. Some can give their prophets/shepherds millions of naira for the ‘ishe’ that worked but will find it hard to support evangelism with #5000. I’m not saying it’s bad to give to men of God. The bible stated in Galatians 6:6(GNB) “If you are being taught the Christian message, you should share all the good things you have with your teacher”. But of what benefit is it when you are totally out of the salvation picture? You care less about church and the works of faith. You are only concerned when there is spiritual work, blessing and victory. We need to awaken the reality as Christians. Let’s know who we serve for we cannot deceive God{Galatians 6:7}. And also make our faith in Him strong and unyielding. I urge us to make good use of CCC hymn 76 “Mase yemeji mase wehin”. It should serve as a guide for us as celestians. Finally,Deuteronomy 13:14(KJV) says “Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently: and behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination may be wrought among you”.
