Billions of people have lived and died in this world. Many died without traces or evidence of passing through this world. Few however, left their footprints on the sands of time. Leaving your footprints on the sands of time require having clear vision about your purpose. Unknown/Unclear purpose is destiny/mission unfulfilled.

Jesus Christ clearly understood His purpose/mission when He was confronted with issues of life. He clearly spelt out His mission to his disciples expecting them to receive it and prepare for it ( Matthew 16:21 "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day"). Then peter who was just praised in the same chapter for revealing the person of Jesus Christ started rebuking Jesus saying His purpose and mission would not come to pass ignorantly. But because of clearer vision Jesus had about His mission, He was able to rebuke peter knowing fully well Satan was about using Peter to stop Him from accomplishing His mission on earth.

Many of us today have been talked out of our purpose/mission by people we love. They actually meant no harm but fearing being separated from the person they love. This was exactly what transpired between Christ and Peter. Peter loved Christ so much that he was rebuking Christ for pronouncing His death and resurrection the third day. But because Christ understood His purpose so well, He was able to overcome the temptation satan brought to Him through Peter. Fulfilling purpose in life does not always come with conveniency. It is more of leaving your love ones just like in the case of our Lord Jesus Christ, Joseph the dreamer, and Abraham. Your love ones may want to talk you out of your purpose/mission for fear of not seeing you for longer period, do not be talked out of it. It takes sacrifice, pains, loneliness, ruggedity and focus almost every time to fulfill purpose in life. If Christ was not able to make sacrifices, go through pains, experience loneliness, being strong during His trials and also focus in His quest to liberate the world, He would not have been possible for Him to fulfill His purpose/mission on earth.

As Christ was sent to the world to liberate the world, so are all of us sent to this world to preach message of SALVATION, HOPE, PEACE, LOVE and UNITY to the world through the apostolic offices we may find ourselves. In our quest to fulfill this mandate, me must be ready to make sacrifices, go through some unfavorable conditions at times, feel lonely sometimes be rugged and be focused. The harvest is indeed plenteous, but the workers are few. Christ is indeed calling on us to be part of these workers ready to take the world by storm ( Matthew 16 vs 24: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me).

Finally, you may not be granted access to sit with our Lord Jesus Christ if only what you think is how you would be saved and no soul is recorded in the BOOK OF LIFE on your behalf. You must work assiduously without minding if it will cost your life to save a soul. This is what Christ actually meant when He said in verse 25 that; For whosoever will lose his life for His sake shall find it". It is not accepted saving your soul alone, By that, you may lose yours too. You must endeavor to bring many souls to Christ.

Souls are being lost in their numbers everyday, with many denouncing the Christian faith due to our inability to properly harness our purpose/ mission to bring about true repentance/acceptance. The clock is ticking, and we are already running out of time. The good thing is, the little time remaining is still enough to effect the desired change to fulfill our purpose as Christ did when He was here on earth in physical.

For this to be achieved, weaklings must first be spotted and addressed. By weaklings, I mean those who pretentiously claim to be born again but still engage in immoral and indecent acts among us. With them in the movement, we can never have headway. How are you going to have success when the person you want to save his/her soul sees many partner in crime/no better life-in-Christ among us?. The group to effect change must reflect the life of Christ in all of their undertaking. Alleluia!
